Welcome to “La Maison Eiffel”
This gorgeous apartment is an elegant, one-bedroom duplex in a 1930s art deco building on a gated, private street. Located in the exclusive 16th district of Paris, this apartment is a rare gem in Paris. Space, Light, and Quiet, you will love this place as a refuge for reading and relaxation.
Unique, as it has its own private entrance that leads into the apartment through a dramatic, two-story-high, arched glass window. The first level has a lofty double-height living room, dining room, gourmet kitchen and half bath.
A sweeping stairway ascends to the second floor which consists of the master bedroom, a large modern bathroom with oversized tub and shower, and a study-entertainment center that overlooks the living room. The apartment is furnished in a comfortable yet minimalist style with many modern classics from the 20’s and 30’s by such designers as Mies Van der Rohe, Marcel Breuer, Eileen Gray, and Wilhelm Wagenfeld.
The master bedroom is located on the second floor and features a queen size bed and ample closet space to store your belongings.
Our extensive collection of pillows, blankets, and comforters allows guests to personalize their sleeping pleasure. The French window allows refreshing breezes to enter. The window is super-insulated design that all but eliminates exterior noise, leading many guests to remark on how quiet the apartment is for city living.
There is a day bed and a sleep sofa downstairs that can sleep two extra guests.
AIR CON: For warmer months, we install a European-style air conditioner that sits in the bedroom and is elegantly vented through a cut-out in the insulated window. This unit, along with a second unit in the living room, keep the apartment cool and comfortable during any hot spells.
Whether you plan on preparing gourmet meals or simple snacks, the fully-equipped galley kitchen contains everything you’ll need.
While your coffee is brewing you can pop out and be at the corner bakery in 30 seconds to pick up warm croissants.
The kitchen provides ample pots, pans, and baking dishes; salad and mixing bowls; a spinner; cooking and serving utensils; and generous stocks of spices, oils, coffee filters, kitchen wrap, food storage containers, paper towels, cleaning supplies, and dishwasher and laundry supplies. Our goal is for you to spend your time enjoying Paris rather than shopping for the basics !

This bathroom can be accessed without going through the master bedroom, so downstairs guests can use it without disturbing upstairs guests. The half bath on the first floor contains a sink and toilet.
Outside of the master bedroom is the study where you will find a nice sized work space for your laptop, as well as a TV and chairs for lounging.
The living room offers a CD player/iPod dock, plus an extraordinary library of books on the art deco era, art deco architecture, design, painting, and decorative arts, and French history and culture, especially the period between the wars when artists, writers, and musicians flocked to Paris to create some of the world’s most famous works of art, literature, and music of the 20th century.
The Internet-Enabled TV is here to let you see what’s going on in the world with hundreds of channels in many languages and CNN and BBC in English. You can also use the TV to check your email or browse the internet.
But remember, you didn’t come to Paris to care about what’s going on in the world. So set it to some digital classical radio instead and sip some wine and nibble some fromage, now that’s better.
Calling friends back home or checking your email is simple. Your flat is set up with free WiFi, and unlimited free telephone calls to over 70 countries, including the U.S., Canada and Australia.
ABOUT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD:
The apartment is in the 16th arrondissement, long known as one of the most fashionable, beautiful and affluent sections of Paris. Often compared to London’s Kensington and Chelsea, it is an area of elegant boulevards, stylish boutiques, and bustling neighborhood centers.
